Depletion of carbohydrate stores in the body and dehydration are the two main causes of fatigue in (endurance) exercise. As endurance athletes often consume too much or too little carbohydrate, and often in the wrong concentration, carbohydrate and fluid absorption is not always optimal. This results in a loss of performance and the appearance of gastrointestinal symptoms. By choosing a quality isotonic sports drink, these symptoms can be avoided to some extent. In addition, dehydration and loss of salt (loss of sodium) are important causes of muscle cramps during prolonged endurance exercise.
The "6D ISOTONIC SPORTS DRINK" has a glucose to fructose ratio of 2:1, which allows the body to use up to 90 g of carbohydrates per hour during exercise, whereas drinks that do not have this ratio 2 :1 are limited to only 60-70 g per hour. In addition, this 2:1 ratio stimulates water absorption during exercise. Thanks to its high salt concentration (900 mg of sodium per litre), the "6d ISOTONIC SPORTS DRINK" also replenishes the salt reserves in the body. This is particularly important for athletes who sweat a lot, but also a lot of salts, and especially during exercises in a hot environment which leads to significant sweat losses. Despite the high electrolyte content, the "6d ISOTONIC SPORTS DRINK" remains perfectly isotonic, which guarantees optimal absorption of water and energy (sugars) at the same time. Thanks to its neutral pH (~7,0), this drink is ideal for endurance athletes because it is not "aggressive" for the stomach. Indeed, no acid is added to the drink. In addition, a pH below 5,5 dissolves tooth enamel. Since sports drinks are usually consumed sip by sip, their residues often remain in the oral cavity for a considerable time, making dental erosion a common problem among endurance athletes. Finally, the use of allergens and artificial additives is limited as much as possible so that most athletes can use the "6d ISOTONIC SPORTS DRINK" safely.
In summary, the "6d ISOTONIC SPORTS DRINK" is ideal for all athletes who need to quickly recover energy (sugars), water and electrolytes. The consumption of sports drinks during exercise is only useful during (intensive) exercise of more than 60 minutes and especially in a hot and/or humid environment.
How to use :
Mix 35 g (= 2 measures) of powder in 500 ml of water.
Drink 500-1000ml per hour during exercise, depending on fluid and carbohydrate requirements.
Also, consuming a dose during warm-up can have a positive effect on endurance performance.
