You want to know how our food impacts the environment and the well-being of the planet⁉️
So take the time to read this 😉
Through these publications, the goal is to popularize specific notions of nutrition, training and mental preparation, in order to help all types of people to feel better, and to achieve their various goals, whether sport or fitness. health well-being.
But beyond this framework, it is important to make as many people as possible aware of the importance of an adapted mode of food consumption, in an eco-responsible concept for the preservation of the environment and the planet. ????

The budget devoted to food by households in France is one of the most important items of consumption, after spending on housing and transport.
The vast majority of this food expenditure will be done in supermarkets, for a small part in markets, cooperatives, local shops or directly from the producer.
The first criterion in the food choice is the price, far ahead of the origin, the nutritional composition, and especially the environmental impact.

➡️ The results :

👉 Less raw, local and seasonal products, particularly for fruits and vegetables.
👉 No more processed products, from a distant origin without respect for seasonality.

➡️ Environmental impacts:

👉 A disrupted seasonality which leads to a disruption of biodiversity and ecosystems with the possibility of consuming tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, eggplants, mangoes, pineapples, etc.
👉 Too much consumption of refined cereal products (rice, pasta, bread, etc.) and animal products (meat, fish, eggs, dairy products) with all the consequences of pollution linked to massive production.
👉 No more plastic packaging and waste to recycle.
👉 A higher carbon footprint due to distant transport.
👉 A local economy disadvantaged in favor of large brands.

➡️ The solutions :

👉 Respect seasonality.
👉 Consume as much local as possible.
👉 Buy raw and unprocessed products.
👉 Try to grow your own vegetable garden.
In practice, how to improve the way you consume ⁉️
We will be able to distinguish 2 categories with regard to food:

1️⃣XNUMXst category : raw and less processed products

Fresh fruits and vegetables
Dried fruits
Spices and aromatics
Seeds (flax, sunflower, squash ...)
Oilseeds (walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, etc.)
Whole grains and similar, legumes (whole grain rice, quinoa, lentils, sourdough bread, buckwheat flakes, etc.)
Quality animal products (meat, fish, eggs, dairy products)
Quality fats (1st cold pressed oils)

2️⃣th category : processed and ultra-processed products

Refined cereals (white rice, pasta, white bread, etc.)
Industrial sausage
Dairy products and industrial cheeses
Industrial fat (butter, margarine, etc.)
Prepared meals, industrial pizzas
Chips, appetizer cakes
Cakes, cookies, pastries, pastries…
Dessert yogurt, dessert cream, ice cream ...
Chocolate bars
Breakfast cereals
Refined sugars
Fruit juices, sodas, energy drinks…
Alcohol, beers ...
The objective is simple, it will be to balance the food basket on the right side by favoring those of the 1st category 👍

➡️ Possible issues:

👉 Lack of time
This is indeed an argument, because it is sometimes difficult to find a place in your schedule to do your food shopping and cook, with all the constraints linked to our rhythms of life.
But in reality, everything is a question of priority and organization, and we can gradually find solutions to get there.
The goal is to get started little by little in order to change certain habits.
👉 The increase in cost
By favoring raw products and the least processed possible, and by reducing the share of processed and ultra-processed products which bring little or no benefits from a dietetic and health point of view, the budget will be in balance.
Eating organic fruit from a local producer, which will be loaded with nutrients, will not have the same impact as a large-area fruit that will have undergone treatment with pesticides and a strong loss of its nutritional capital.
Consequently, there will be less need to eat it to find a possible equivalence.
But once again it's all about priority.

(I.e. CONCLUSION from our ambassador (I.e.

Far from me the idea of being the moralizer, I do not consider myself as an example and I still have many elements to improve to reduce my ecological footprint.
I would like to have my own vegetable garden, promote daily travel by bicycle, avoid chocolate and cocoa, stop my air travel, or even get involved in an association for the environment ...
Little by little in my daily life and for 2022 I will integrate a new way of living in favor of the planet.
I hope to bring a reflection on the subject and perhaps make you aware of the importance of modifying certain parameters in the way of consuming in particular at the food level.
"Small individual efforts for big collective changes"
The reflection is open, do not hesitate to give me your comments, as well as to share and like if it is a subject which speaks to you.
