In Sanskrit (an ancient Indian language), "Ashwagandha" means " horse strength ", referring to the vigor and power associated with this revitalizing plant. Its botanical name, Withania somnifera, evokes its soothing properties, with somnifera meaning " which brings sleep thus highlighting its ability to promote rest and relaxation.

Ashwagandha 5000 BIO is a highly concentrated organic extract rich in withhololides. These are considered to be the main phytoactive compounds responsible for the plant's adaptogenic properties.

Not recommended for pregnant women (ashwagandha is suspected of increasing the risk of miscarriage), breastfeeding women, or children under 12 years of age. Use is contraindicated in cases of hemochromatosis due to ashwagandha's high iron content. Ashwagandha may interact with the following medications: antidepressants, medications for treating high blood pressure, antidiabetics, immunosuppressants, and thyroid medications.
